Ask us anything. A person answers.
Write to hello@halocue.app and you’ll hear back within two working days, usually sooner. Tell us your iPhone model and iOS version if something isn’t working.
The script doesn’t follow my voice
Tap Voice on the Stage so it lights up. If Halocue says it needs permission, open Settings › Halocue and allow Microphone and Speech Recognition. Voice follow listens for the words on screen, so it works best in the script’s language, at a normal speaking pace.
The camera card says the camera is off
Allow Camera in Settings › Halocue. You can rehearse without it; recording needs it. If another app is using the camera, or you’re on a call, Halocue pauses the camera and brings it back when it’s free.
Where are my takes?
After a take, tap Save to keep it in Photos, or the share button to send it anywhere. When you tap Done, the take is cleared from Halocue, so save it first.
Setting the pace
Drag the wpm chip left or right, like a zoom wheel. Each script shows how long it will take to read at the current pace.
Keyboards and pedals
With a Bluetooth keyboard or page-turner pedal: Space plays and pauses, the arrow keys change the pace and R starts or stops a take.
iPhone Duo
Halocue works on the cover screen and the wide inner screen. The halo lights up next to the side camera, and the script stays clear of the camera housing. Turn the iPhone sideways to put the script and camera side by side.
