Privacy policy · 31 October 2026
We collect nothing. That’s the whole policy.
Halocue is an iPhone app that shows your script under the front camera and records you reading it. It has no account, no server of ours, no analytics and no advertising. This page explains what happens to the things you give it.
Your scripts
Scripts are saved in a file on your iPhone, inside Halocue’s own storage. They are included in your device backup like any app’s data. We never receive them.
Your voice
When you turn on Follow my voice, Halocue uses Apple’s Speech framework to recognize what you say so the script can keep your place. On iPhones that support on-device recognition, Halocue requires it, so your audio is processed on the phone. Where a device cannot recognize speech on its own, iOS may use Apple’s servers instead, under Apple’s privacy policy. Halocue never sends your audio or transcripts to us.
Your takes
Recordings from the front camera are written to the iPhone. A take only leaves Halocue when you tap Save (to Photos) or share it yourself. When you close a take, Halocue deletes its own copy.
Permissions
- Camera and microphone, to record takes and listen for Follow my voice.
- Speech recognition, to follow your voice.
- Add to Photos, only when you save a take.
You can turn any of these off in Settings. Rehearsing works without them.
